While there are claims of people who say they have eliminate their diabetes there is no concrete medical evidence that has determined diabetes is a disease that can be cured. The first type of diabetes is type 1. What basically happens is the body has insulin-producing cells and they are depleted to less than a total of 10 percent in a person with diabetes. That does not help the person process food and sugar properly and as a result they begin to feel light headed and fatigued. The other type of diabetes is type 2. This is a slower type where the body slowly stops to produce the necessary insulin to process sugar intake. While some people who exercise often find their insulin levels normal they are still in need of treatment. Many people have claimed to eliminate their type 2 diabetes with regular exercise but this is not true. The only reason they feel they have eliminated this disease is because their insulin levels are normal for a short period of time. A person can go weeks and even months with normal level but that does not mean they have gotten rid of type 2 diabetes.
Can diabetes be cured is a common question people with type 2 ask. Now that you know there is what is perceived as a temporary solution that does not mean you should think the disease can be cured. Treatment and checkups are still necessary for anyone who has been diagnosed with this disease. The younger a person is the greater chance they have at maintaing good glucose levels. A mid aged or elderly person is most likely not going to experience the same type of healthy levels as a young one, which is why it is uncommon for the elderly to believe they can eradicate their diabetes.
While diabetes is currently not curable there is no reason as to why a cannot manage their levels to the point where it is almost unnoticeable. A great number of people have gone on to live healthy lives with diabetes. In time a cure is expected to arise in society, but the only way tests can be conducted is with healthy people who currently live with the disease. Remain as healthy as possible and perhaps one day you can make a difference with how the disease is treated.
